Purple patch

Woohoo! Scored a fine brace of purple sandpipers today on de patch, although only one features in the following snap

Just happened to be in the Ballycotton area this pm for this fella too!

    Sorry, but we used to bird your beat, and then moved back to Lothian. This means we've seen more surf scoter than tawny owls myself. We accidentally saw one last weekend in fact - its image is still burnt onto my retina.
